How do kits and outings differ?
A kit is a reusable template. Starting an outing copies its equipment names, notes and planned quantities into a separate record. Later template edits do not rewrite an outing already started.
Can I leave with a partial kit?
Yes. Confirm departure after entering what you actually packed. The return check expects those packed quantities, rather than everything originally planned.
What happens to missing or damaged equipment?
Add repair notes during the return check. Closing with missing pieces requires confirmation and creates follow-ups. Resolving a follow-up does not rewrite the counts originally recorded when the outing closed.
How do I protect or move my data?
Settings offers complete JSON backup export and restoration. Save a backup in Files before changing devices. Restoring replaces the current inventory after confirmation and preserves a copy of the previous local file. CSV is for reading and sharing; it is not a restorable backup. There is no automatic cross-device sync.
What happens when the trial ends?
The trial never charges automatically. Creating and editing require the separate lifetime unlock after seven days. Your kits, history and follow-ups remain available for viewing, search, export and backup restoration. Restore Purchases retains the original trial date.
The store or a save operation failed. What should I do?
Check your connection for new purchases or restoration. Previously verified access uses Apple’s local transaction history where available. For a save error, preserve a backup and check available device storage. An unreadable saved file is preserved and editing pauses until a valid backup is restored. Do not delete the app as a troubleshooting step without a backup.
