My Alarm
Privacy policy
Updated October 31, 2026
Your plans stay with you
My Alarm is provided by True Solutions LLC. It has no account system, advertising, analytics SDK, tracking, or developer-operated server for your plans. We do not collect or sell your alarm, reminder, calendar, camera, or motion data. The app does not send those records to us.
What is stored on your iPhone
Alarms, reminders, timers, templates, settings, skipped dates, and local reliability records are stored in the app’s local storage. The app shares the next alarm’s time and label, alarm-action state, and your theme and motion preferences with its own widget and intents using an Apple app group. Theme previews and animations run on-device and do not use a network service. The app does not offer an account-based cloud sync service. Local records may be included in device backups managed by Apple, depending on your backup settings. Photo-check reference images are excluded from automatic device backup. Incoming plan drafts from sharing and Shortcuts are stored in the app group with file protection so My Alarm can review them. Saved-place coordinates, suggestion preferences, dismissals and notification counters remain local.
Optional weather and location
With permission, the app obtains your location while in use, rounds coordinates to about one kilometer, and caches that approximate location locally. The approximate coordinates are sent to Apple Weather through WeatherKit to request forecasts. We do not receive that location. Apple processes requests under its own privacy policy. Revoking location permission stops use of the cached coordinates for new forecasts and clears the location cache when the app observes the change. Forecast requests and downloading Apple’s attribution artwork require a network connection.
Calendar and reminders
Optional calendar access is used to read events, suggest alarms, and create local alarms you configure. Optional access to Apple Reminders lets you copy selected reminders into My Alarm. The app does not edit or delete your original calendar events or Apple Reminders. Copies you create remain in My Alarm until you delete them, even if you later revoke access to the original source. EventKit’s permission is called Full Access even though My Alarm uses it only to read. Suggestion calendars can be limited in Settings. Optional travel estimates send only selected starting and destination places and timing details to Apple Maps when you request them; calendar titles and notes are not part of that request.
Shared content, Shortcuts and saved places
You choose the text or link shared to My Alarm. Text imports are processed on-device. Shared links are treated as text and are not fetched. A share action or Shortcut saves a draft only; My Alarm does not inspect other apps, scan private inboxes, or read notification history. On iOS 27 and later, a notification automation you configure in Shortcuts can pass selected information to a draft. Opening and reviewing a draft may require unlocking the phone. Saved-place suggestions use iOS region monitoring for places you choose, not continuous GPS tracking. Place searches and route estimates use Apple Maps and Apple’s privacy policy. Notifications can show plan titles or saved-place names according to your lock-screen settings. No plans are sent to a developer-operated server.
Camera, codes, motion and speech
Camera access is used only when you choose a scan or photo alarm check. Code contents and reference photos are stored locally; code recognition, photo comparison, and motion checks run on the device. Camera images and motion readings are not sent to us or to a third-party AI service. On supported devices, optional generated timer lines use Apple’s on-device model; spoken reminders use system speech synthesis. These features do not use a developer-operated AI or transcription server.
Personal sounds and microphone
With the lifetime unlock, you can import audio files or record personal alarm sounds. Microphone access is requested only when you choose Start recording. Recording stops when you leave the recording screen or the app. Recordings, trimmed audio and sound names stay in the app’s local storage; we do not upload, transcribe or analyze them on a server. They may be included in Apple-managed device backups, depending on your settings. You can rename or delete unused sounds in Settings → My Sounds. Sounds assigned to an alarm, reminder, timer or current selection must be replaced there before deletion. Removing the app removes local sounds; offloading keeps app data. Alarm audio can be heard by people nearby.
Permissions and your choices
Alarm permission lets iOS ring alarms and timers. Notification permission enables notification reminders, backup alerts, and calendar suggestions. Optional calendar, reminders, camera, microphone, motion, and location permissions are requested for the feature that needs them. You can review or revoke access in iPhone Settings. Notifications, widgets, and system alarm screens can show your chosen labels; review your lock-screen settings if those labels are private. Saved-place suggestions have separate, optional Always and Precise Location requirements. Pausing the feature stops its region monitoring. Revoking location permission pauses monitoring; previously saved places remain until you remove them.
Files you export and restore
Export & restore creates a JSON file only when you choose it. It can contain alarm, routine, reminder and timer preset details and, optionally, personal audio. The file is not encrypted by My Alarm. You choose its Files location or provider, which may be a cloud service under that provider’s own privacy policy. We do not receive the export. Scan codes, reference photos, draft inbox, saved places, purchase records and system permissions are excluded. Restoring adds inactive copies with new identifiers; personal audio restoration requires Lifetime. Remove exported files separately from their saved location when no longer needed. Sound favorites and recent choices are stored locally.
Purchases and trial access
Apple processes the free trial and lifetime in-app purchase through the App Store. My Alarm reads Apple-verified purchase records on your device to determine access and restore purchases; it does not send receipts to a developer-operated server. We do not receive your payment card or billing details. The app stores a local date used to check trial expiry. Apple retains purchase history under its own policies, so reinstalling the app does not restart a trial or erase a lifetime purchase.
Retention and deletion
You can delete individual alarms, reminders, and timers in the app. To remove all local app data, use iPhone Settings → General → iPhone Storage → My Alarm → Delete App. Offload App retains documents and data. Delete any backup copies separately using Apple’s backup controls. Removing local copies does not delete the original Apple calendar or reminder records. There is no My Alarm account to delete, and we cannot restore local plans from a server. Incoming drafts expire and are removed after 30 days when the inbox is next read. Review or remove them in Smart planning → Draft inbox; delete saved places in Smart planning → Saved places.
Support, website and changes
If you choose to email support, we receive the email address, message, and attachments you send. We use them to answer your request and retain correspondence only as needed for support and related legal obligations; you can request deletion by contacting us. Avoid sending private alarm labels, calendar details, photos, or access codes. The public help website is hosted by GitHub Pages, which may process standard request information such as IP addresses under GitHub’s privacy statement. We add no website analytics or advertising cookies. This policy may change when the app’s practices change; the updated date will be shown here.
